Lahore, August 19, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 The LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship (LCE)<\/a> has announced the launch of the Women Leadership Programme, a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering women in Pakistan’s textile industry. This strategic partnership with the German Development Cooperation<\/a>, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is set to enhance the leadership capabilities of women and significantly improve their career progression prospects within the sector.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Women Leadership Programme will introduce a series of targeted initiatives designed to support women at various stages of their careers in the textile industry. These include specialized skill development workshops, sensitization training sessions for employers to foster an inclusive work environment, and the creation of peer support groups to encourage collaborative growth and shared learning among participants.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The programme aligns with LCE\u2019s broader mission to promote inclusive growth by empowering women to lead, innovate, and drive change within their communities.
