Karachi, Pakistan:<\/strong> Meezan Bank<\/a> has surpassed Rs2 billion in disbursements<\/strong> under the Government of Pakistan’s flagship affordable housing initiative, Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Programme \u2013 Ghar Ho Tu Apna (GHTA)<\/strong>, marking a significant milestone in its support for expanding access to home ownership.<\/p>\n

The Bank also recorded its highest-ever monthly housing finance disbursement of Rs1.3 billion<\/strong>, reflecting the growing demand for its Shariah-compliant home financing solutions and reinforcing its position as a leading provider of Islamic housing finance in Pakistan.<\/p>\n

The achievement comes as the Government continues to promote affordable housing through its “Mera Ghar \u2013 Mera Ashiana”<\/strong> Markup Subsidy and Risk Sharing Scheme. Under the initiative, participating banks provide housing finance of up to Rs10 million<\/strong> with fixed financing terms of up to 20 years<\/strong>, making home ownership more accessible for eligible Pakistanis.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the milestone, Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Group Head Consumer Finance and Digital Banking at<\/strong> Meezan Bank<\/span><\/span>, said the achievement reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to supporting the Government’s affordable housing agenda while helping individuals and families achieve their dream of home ownership through ethical and Shariah-compliant financing.<\/p>\n

He added that Meezan Bank’s comprehensive housing finance portfolio is designed to serve a wide range of customers, including salaried individuals, self-employed professionals, and overseas Pakistanis, by offering accessible and customer-focused financing solutions.<\/p>\n
