Islamabad:<\/strong> The long-awaited merger between Telenor Pakistan<\/strong> and Ufone<\/strong><\/a> has moved into its final stage and is expected to be formally completed in the first week of December<\/strong>, according to official sources.<\/p>\n

After nearly a year of deliberations, regulatory processes, and operational assessments, all major milestones have now been cleared, paving the way for final approvals.<\/p>\n

The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP)<\/strong> has already issued its order on the merger, enabling the transition to subsequent regulatory steps. The case is currently under review by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)<\/strong>, which is expected to issue its decision following the completion of its due diligence.<\/p>\n

Once PTA approval is secured, the merger will move to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)<\/strong> for financial clearance, and subsequently to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP)<\/strong> for corporate and structural approval.<\/p>\n
