KARACHI:<\/strong> The Board of Directors of Sindh Bank<\/a>, in its meeting held on October 29, 2025, approved the bank\u2019s financial statements for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, marking a period of exceptional performance across key business segments.<\/p>\n

The bank reported an impressive 213 percent growth in operating profit<\/strong> compared to the same period last year, with profit before tax reaching Rs 2.54 billion<\/strong>. The Board lauded the management\u2019s efforts and expressed its gratitude to the Government of Sindh<\/strong> and valued clients for their continued trust and support.<\/p>\n

During the nine-month period, net markup income rose by 25 percent<\/strong>, despite downward revisions in the policy rate. Meanwhile, non-markup income surged by 79 percent to Rs 694 million<\/strong>, driven by higher income from fees, commissions, dividends, and gains on securities.<\/p>\n

Sindh Bank\u2019s total equity increased by Rs 2.1 billion<\/strong>, reaching Rs 31.2 billion<\/strong> as of September 30, 2025. The bank maintained a Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) of 25.04 percent<\/strong>, well above the minimum regulatory requirement of 11.50 percent, reflecting strong capital resilience. The bank\u2019s minimum capital stood at Rs 26.8 billion<\/strong>, significantly higher than the required Rs 10 billion.<\/p>\n

Deposits also reached a record high, touching Rs 335.1 billion<\/strong> by the end of the quarter\u2014an increase of Rs 22.4 billion from December 31, 2024. The CASA ratio improved to 87 percent<\/strong> from 82 percent, underscoring the bank\u2019s growing base of low-cost deposits. Customer outreach also expanded, with total account holders rising to 1.3 million<\/strong>, including 200,000 new customers<\/strong> added during the period.<\/p>\n

On the lending side, gross advances hit an all-time high of Rs 136.0 billion<\/strong>, marking a 37.4 percent increase<\/strong> over Rs 98.9 billion recorded at the end of 2024. The growth was primarily driven by a 74 percent rise in SME financing<\/strong> and a 48 percent increase in consumer financing<\/strong>, along with significant expansion in sovereign-backed lending.<\/p>\n

Reflecting its financial strength and operational stability, VIS Credit Rating Company Limited reaffirmed Sindh Bank\u2019s long-term credit rating at \u2018AA-\u2019 and short-term rating at \u2018A-1+\u2019,<\/strong> both with a stable outlook.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
