{"id":5022,"date":"2025-05-27T13:07:33","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T08:07:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pkfin.kotenterprises.dev\/?p=5022"},"modified":"2025-05-30T23:02:22","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T18:02:22","slug":"startups-can-get-up-to-rs-5mln-with-new-acceleration-program-nic-karachi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pkfin.kotenterprises.dev\/?p=5022","title":{"rendered":"Startups can get up to Rs. 5mln with new acceleration program: NIC Karachi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40364735\/startups-can-get-up-to-rs5m-with-new-acceleration-program-nic-karachi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Business Recorder<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pakistan is one of the most overlooked startup markets in the world, and that\u2019s about to change&#8217;, says managing general partner of Orbit Startups, with whom NIC Karachi has partnered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nickarachi.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">National Incubation Centre (NIC) Karachi<\/a> has launched its \u201cfirst-ever structured acceleration program\u201d in partnership with Orbit Startups, a Singapore-based investor in emerging markets.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release, through this three-month accelerator, 5 high-potential startups will receive up to Rs5 million in milestone-based grants and training by global experts from Orbit Startups.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith a young, digital-first population, Pakistan is going through a technology-driven economic transformation,\u201d said William Bao Bean, Managing General Partner of Orbit Startups, which has backed over 300 startups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Govt\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pkfin.kotenterprises.dev\/2024\/11\/13\/faysal-funds-partners-with-pakistan-startup-summit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pakistan Startup Fund will help entrepreneurs<\/a> raise up to $1m, says official<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to team up with NIC Karachi to bring Orbit\u2019s global ecosystem and hands-on support to this next generation of founders who can lead in Pakistan and win globally,\u201d he said, adding that \u201cwe believe Pakistan is one of the most overlooked startup markets in the world, and that\u2019s about to change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The program signals NIC\u2019s \u201cevolution from a startup launchpad to a growth-stage acceleration powerhouse, fully aligned with national economic priorities and global innovation trends,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10th iteration of Pakistan Investor Summit kicks off in Karachi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The goal of the program is to fast-track companies that are ready to scale, raise capital and create market impact, locally and globally, explained Ali Sohail Tabba, Chairperson Governance Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/pkfin.kotenterprises.dev\/2024\/08\/01\/lucky-landmark-to-manage-nic-karachi-for-next-five-years-in-partnership-with-lmkt-and-orbit-startups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NIC Karachi<\/a> and Director at Yunus Brothers Group.<\/p>\n<p>He said the program targets startups that are already showing traction, with revenue models in place and a product in the market.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pkfin.kotenterprises.dev\/2025\/04\/17\/uaes-fintech-startup-metric-founded-by-pakistanis-announces-7-figure-seed-round\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Startups belonging to sectors like fintech<\/a>, cyber security, industrial automation, agritech, climate tech and logistics are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Startups will be monitored through a milestone-based evaluation framework developed.
