KARACHI:<\/em> Mastercard<\/a> has announced the launch of Google Wallet in Pakistan, allowing Mastercard cardholders to make secure and convenient contactless payments. This milestone marks the first introduction of a global mobile wallet in the country, strengthening Pakistan’s digital ecosystem and accelerating the shift away from cash-based transactions.<\/p>\n

Google Wallet offers users a fast and seamless way to make payments in-store, in-app, and online. Beyond payment capabilities, the app also enables users to manage digital credentials, including tickets, boarding passes, and loyalty cards, providing a centralized and user-friendly experience.<\/p>\n

Transactions made through Google Wallet are powered by Mastercard\u2019s advanced tokenization technology, which enhances security by replacing the real card number with a digital token. This technology ensures that each transaction is protected against potential fraud.<\/p>\n

To access Google Wallet, Mastercard cardholders in Pakistan can download the Google Wallet<\/a> app from the Google Play Store and follow the setup instructions. Once their Mastercard is added, users can make payments at any merchant accepting contactless payments. The process is simple: unlock the phone, hold it near the payment terminal, and the transaction is completed.<\/p>\n
