Islamabad, Pakistan \u2013<\/strong> In a significant step towards digital financial inclusion, JazzCash<\/a>, Pakistan\u2019s leading fintech organization, has partnered with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)<\/a> to facilitate digital payments for flight bookings. This collaboration is set to benefit JazzCash\u2019s 48 million customers, particularly those in rural and semi-urban areas who have limited access to traditional banking services.<\/p>\n

Currently, PIA customers are required to use credit or debit cards for online bookings or visit ticketing offices in person. With this new partnership, travellers can now book their PIA tickets by calling the airline\u2019s helpline. Upon booking, they will receive a unique PSID number, which can be used to make payments through the JazzCash app or at any JazzCash agent location. Once the payment is processed, PIA will issue the ticket, ensuring a secure and seamless transaction experience.<\/p>\n

Murtaza Ali, President of JazzCash, emphasized the importance of this initiative in bridging financial accessibility gaps. \u201cBy leveraging JazzCash\u2019s extensive agent network and robust app, we are enabling millions of Pakistanis, particularly those in rural and semi-urban areas, to book PIA tickets without the necessity of a conventional bank<\/a> account or the inconvenience of visiting a travel agency for ticket issuance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

PIA also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, recognizing its role in enhancing customer convenience. \u201cAt PIA, we are committed to providing efficiency and ease to our valued passengers. This collaboration with JazzCash guarantees a smoother booking and payment process<\/a>, making air travel more accessible for everyone,\u201d said Nousherwan Adil, Chief Commercial Officer of PIA.<\/p>\n

The integration of JazzCash for PIA ticket payments underscores the growing adoption of digital financial services in Pakistan, offering travellers a modern and hassle-free alternative to traditional payment methods.<\/p>\n

JazzCash continues to play a leading role in digitizing payments<\/a> across the country, partnering with major organizations such as MTAG, Pakistan Railways, Frontier Works Organization (FWO), NADRA, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Punjab Food Authority, and the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) to enhance financial accessibility and convenience.<\/p>\n
