In a landmark development aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan, the National Science & Technology Park (NSTP)<\/a> at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST)<\/a> has forged a strategic collaboration with U Microfinance Bank (U Bank)<\/a>. This partnership aims to leverage NSTP’s flagship programmes, including the Hatch8 Incubation Programme and the Rising Stars Startup Competition.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) sealing this collaboration was signed by Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari, Rector of NUST<\/a>, and Mohamed Essa Al Taheri, President & CEO of U Bank, in a ceremony held recently.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Speaking at the event, Mr. Mohamed Essa Al Taheri highlighted the innovative fin-tech initiatives undertaken by U Bank<\/a> and lauded NUST for its nation-building efforts, world-class educational facilities, and its role in nurturing diverse talent to drive positive societal change.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In response, Rector NUST expressed appreciation for U Bank’s commitment and professionalism, expressing confidence that this partnership would significantly contribute to nurturing the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The collaboration extends beyond entrepreneurial<\/a> endeavors, as both parties discussed strategies to enhance student, parent, and staff well-being. One notable initiative is the establishment of an endowment fund aimed at supporting underprivileged students.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
